Yoga Poses
Savasana (Corpse Pose)
Lie on your back in a relaxed state to promote deep relaxation and rejuvenation of the body and mind.
Balasana (Child’s Pose)
Gentle yoga posture where practitioners kneel and then fold forward, resting their forehead on the mat with arms extended or alongside the body. It promotes relaxation, relieves tension in the back, shoulders, and chest, and encourages a sense of surrender and calmness.
Vrikshasana (Tree Pose)
Standing yoga posture where practitioners balance on one leg with the sole of the other foot placed against the inner thigh or calf. Arms are typically raised overhead, palms together. This pose enhances balance, strengthens leg muscles, and cultivates focus and stability, symbolizing grace and strength like a tree rooted firmly yet reaching towards the sky.
Baddha konasana (Bound Angle Pose)
Seated yoga posture where you bring the soles of your feet together and knees wide apart. It stretches the inner thighs and groins, enhances hip flexibility, and promotes relaxation and calmness in both body and mind.
Breathing Practices
Chandrabedia Pranayama (Left-Nostril Breathing)
Breathing primarily through the left nostril to activate the parasympathetic nervous system, inducing relaxation, reducing stress, and fostering a calm mental state. It is a technique commonly used in yoga and meditation for achieving balance and tranquility.
Sitali Pranayama (Cooling Breathing)
Involves inhaling air through a curled tongue or over the teeth to create a cooling effect. This practice is believed to lower body temperature, calm the mind, reduce stress, and foster a sense of inner balance and relaxation, enhancing overall well-being.
Sitkari Pranayama (Hissing Teeth Breath)
Technique where you inhale through clenched teeth, producing a cooling and calming effect. This practice is used in yoga to reduce stress, enhance mental clarity, and promote relaxation by lowering the body’s temperature.
